Iowa State University is hiring a full-time postdoctoral research associate to work on a project under the direction of Danial Davarnia. The project aims to develop new graphical solution methods for mixed-integer nonlinear programs. The postdoc will play a key role in the development of solution strategies using decision diagrams, implementing established techniques to solve application issues, and testing solution performance in comparison to modern solvers. The Laboratory also places a strong emphasis on the use of artificial intelligence/machine learning methods to expedite scientific discoveries and facilitate the transition from fundamental science to practical applications. Furthermore, the Laboratory focuses on high-throughput experimentation and simulation to achieve its research goals.
