The Arqus European University Alliance was officially established in Brussels on November 27, 2018. This alliance unites nine distinguished universities across Europe to enhance interdisciplinary collaboration. These universities are Granada, Graz, Leipzig, Lyon 1, Maynooth, Minho, Padua, Vilnius, and Wroclaw. As an Arqus student, you will be part of a network comprising over 300,000 students from various European countries. The Alliance supports early career researchers by promoting joint PhD and post-doctoral activities and offering access to shared research infrastructures among its nine member universities.

Eligibility Criteria for the Arqus Talent Scholarship Fund 2024-25
The Arqus Talent Scholarship Fund at the Arqus European University Alliance in Belgium is based on the following eligibility criteria:
- The applicant must be an international student applying for a Ph.D. program at one of the partner universities in Europe.
- The applicant must have been admitted to the doctoral program with a minimum B grade in their previous master’s degree.
- The applicant must demonstrate sufficient language proficiency, equivalent to a B2 level, in any of the Alliance languages.

The application deadlines for the Arqus Talent Scholarship Fund vary for Master’s and PhD programs:
- The first call, exclusively for doctoral students, is open from March 31, 2024, to May 31, 2024 (23:59 CEST).
- The second call, exclusively for Master’s students, is open from May 3, 2024, to July 3, 2024 (23:59 CEST).
- The third call, also for Master’s students, is open from April 2, 2024, to June 30, 2024 (23:59 CEST).
